As per today's Supreme Court judgment of "status quo" on a petition by the Karnataka Waqf Board, Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Bengaluru's Eidgah Maidan won’t be taking place. The 2.5-acre site must therefore remain as it is, according to the court's three-judge bench.
